The 2019 China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition (CIAME) opened on Oct 30 in Qingdao, Shandong province. Zhang Xiaolun, chairman of Sinomach, was invited to attend the opening ceremony.

The exhibition was sponsored by the China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association (CAMDA), the China Agricultural Mechanization Association (CAMA) and the China Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufactures (CAAMM). The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences (CAAMS) and YTO Group Corporation (YTO), which are subsidiaries of Sinomach, brought to the exhibition a series of self-developed high-quality products, highlighting Sinomach’s strength in research, development, production, and manufacturing of agricultural machinery as a pioneer of China’s agricultural machinery industry.

Before the ceremony, Zhang met with Wang Qingxian, Party secretary of Qingdao. Wang said that the CIAME is not only an exhibition, but also a stage open to all countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. He hoped that by taking advantage of the opportunities of the exhibition, a permanent display platform will be created in Laixi, Shandong province.

Zhang outlined the general status of Sinomach’s agricultural machinery and equipment industry and its subsidiary China National Machinery Industry International Co (Sinomachint), saying that the two sides can give full play to the exhibition to promote cooperation in key fields to help promote Qingdao's fame and influence and boost its high-quality development. With that assistance the city will play a more important role in the construction of the New Eurasian Continental Bridge Economic Corridor and maritime cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Then Zhang went to the exhibition hall of CAAMS and participated in the launching ceremonies of the Menoble 9458 large silage harvester and the book “Solutions to Comprehensive Mechanization in the Whole Process of Agricultural Production” as well as the unveiling ceremony of CAAMS Qingdao Branch. He took a close look at the mechanical equipment exhibited by CAAMS and experienced the actual operation of agricultural harvesters.

He went next to YTO’s exhibition hall, where he carefully listened to a detailed introduction of the products, and enquired about the market, price, specific performance and parameters of the products. He also encouraged the staff to try their best to promote YTO’s brand. In addition, Zhang visited the exhibition halls of other well-known agricultural equipment companies at home and abroad.

Zhang required the company’s subsidiaries in the agricultural machinery to focus on making breakthroughs in the industry to contribute to China’s agriculture and agricultural machinery development, in accordance with the strategic deployment requirements of the company.

Agricultural machinery revitalization is a key task of Sinomach. Relevant work has been steadily pushed forward since the beginning of the year. In the next stage, Sinomach will continue to ensure the accomplishment of the Three-year Revitalization Plan of the company’s agricultural machinery work and promote the transformation and upgrading of its agricultural machinery equipment.

The exhibition is a good opportunity to grasp the latest technical information and strengthen peer exchanges, which is conducive to further development of Sinomach’s work.

As the top world-class agricultural machinery expo held in Asia, the CIAME has a long history of more than 60 years. The exhibition area of this year’s event exceeds 220,000 square meters, and more than 2,100 Chinese and foreign exhibitors are participating in it, with the number of professional visitors reaching 135,000 according to preliminary statistics.
