China National Electric Apparatus Research Institute Co (CEI), a subsidiary of Sinomach, recently set up Vkan (Shenzhen) Certification and Testing Co (CVC Shenzhen), signifying an aggressive move towards the industrial distribution of the fifth generation wireless network technology (5G), with Shenzhen, a megacity in Guangdong province, marking its 40th anniversary as a Special Economic Zone.
Vkan Certification and Testing Co (CVC), affiliated to CEI, is a third-party technical service provider and an institute specialized in testing and evaluation. The establishment of its branch CVC Shenzhen is a critical step to enter the market of emerging industries such as smart homes, intelligent connected vehicles (ICV) and wise information medical technology (WITMED).
It will provide Shenzhen’s enterprises with convenient local services, combining them with the features of local industries, and enhancing construction of wireless communication testing bases in the city. It will also cover the businesses in the Pearl River Delta, of which Shenzhen is the core, in a bid to meet the enormous needs of more of the region’s enterprises in telecommunication, smart home and ICV applications, and provide them with overall quality solutions.
The first phase of CVC Shenzhen can test and certify audio and video and internet technologies as well as wireless communication products of domestic and international standards. Its upcoming second phase construction will work on such fields as 5G, smart homes, ICV and WITMED, increase investment in research and development of new technologies, and provide comprehensive services in testing, certification and R&D support for Shenzhen enterprises.
