The groundbreaking ceremony was held recently for the first phase of Nicaragua's affordable housing project. China IPPR International Engineering Co Ltd (IPPR), a subsidiary of Sinomach, oversees project design and management.

The first phase of Nicaragua's affordable housing project is the first aid project after China and Nicaragua resumed diplomatic relations in December 2021. The construction includes building 920 single-storey two-bedroom homes in Managua and supporting projects such as roads and pipe networks in the community.

The project design conforms to local standards and combines with domestic standards to ensure a balance between functionality and economy. It aims at building affordable, convenient and sustainable residential communities. The project will help local people improve their living conditions and strengthen the friendly relations between the people of China and Nicaragua.
