The 2020 Global Enterprise Sustainable Competitiveness Summit was held in Beijing on Nov 21 and 22, with the theme of globalization of enterprises under major changes.

The summit also witnessed the award ceremonies of Models of Sustainable Development in 2020 and Top Ten Cases of Enterprise Brands with Sustainable Influence in 2020.

China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), a subsidiary of Sinomach, won the title of 2020 Overseas Excellent Enterprise for Sustainable Practice, signifying high recognition of its on-going commitment to overseas sustainable operations.

CMEC has long promoted realization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and pursued the new development concept of “innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing”, and has established a good reputation for Chinese enterprises overseas.

The company takes an active part in helping host governments formulate and execute strategies for sustainable growth, bringing economic, social and environmental benefits to local development.

The annual Global Enterprise Sustainable Competitiveness Summit was initiated in 2013.

This year’s summit, focusing on the current situation, was composed of four sub-forums -- “sustainable development strategy and management”, “world-class brand building”, “sustainable development evaluation and rating”, and “sustainable development cooperation”, all of which are important issues of globalization in the new development stage.
